If there’s one flaw with the way programs are installed and uninstalled in Windows, it’s the amount of digital detritus that gets left behind. Program uninstallers can be incredibly lax, leaving files and Registry entries strewn all over your system. Driver Sweeper 3.0 aims to counter this by providing a more thorough removal tool for key selected drivers from major manufacturers, including NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Microsoft and Realtek. It’s designed to be run after you’ve removed a particular driver – launch Driver Sweeper 3.0, tick the appropriate box and click Analyse. If any leftover files or Registry entries are found, verify they’re ticked and click Clean. Everything’s backed up, so you can restore anything that’s erroneously deleted (boot into Safe mode if necessary), and there’s a custom filter for advanced users who’d like to add support for drivers not handled by the program. Driver Sweeper 3.0 runs on Windows XP or later, and requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 or higher.
